together, together | concert review
On September 10th, my sister and I skipped our classes and headed to the Raleigh-Durham airport to catch our 7:15pm flight to Westchester, New York where our wonderful mom was waiting to pick us up.
We went straight to bed, woke up early the next morning, acquired some New York bagels, and drove 40 minutes into the Big Apple.
We bought the tickets in January, after FIGHTING through the queue (30k people… yikes). We managed to snag five tickets in the lower bowl for an arm and a leg (and another arm and leg and head and heart…), but money is temporary, Harry Styles is forever.
We headed to Madison Square Garden’s early merchandise around 4pm to grab some merch to bring back to the hotel, and I was sort of money smart and only walked away with one piece of merch! I got the blue hoodie for $85.
Doors opened at 7pm, and my mom, sister, friends and I were outside by 6pm, waiting patiently for the screen to show the Harry Styles screen so we could take pictures.

Getting through the doors was a breeze, and we were handed a physical ticket as a souvenir once we hit the escalators.

Once we’d gotten to our seats, I thought the wind had gotten knocked out of me. I couldn’t believe Harry Styles would be singing and dancing that close to my face!
His opener, Jamie xx, came on at 8pm, and turned Madison Square Garden into a club. He’s an English DJ, producer, musician and a genius sonically. His set lasted about an hour, and smoothly transitioned into Harry’s band taking the stage.
Harry took the stage with Dance No More, an extended intro from Jamie xx’s set.

The night itself was amazing! The energy was through the roof, the lighting was so perfectly on time, and the songs were everything I’d hoped for and more. I think I popped a blood vessel in my head from all the screaming and crying I was doing. He smiled and waved at us a few times, and I’m afraid I’ve peaked!
We got to experience night 8 out of 30, and got to hear the Carolina moans and the original high notes in Sign of the Times for the first time in years! #thxharry
Although my post-concert depression is slowly creeping in, I will be seeing him in Disco Pit next May, a week after I graduate. Harry Styles you will be seeing me again.
